Are you looking to enhance your career prospects?
Our prestigious Northumbria School of Law offers a number of distance learning and part time postgraduate programmes, enabling you to achieve your career ambitions.

You don't need to have studied Law at undergraduate level as our Graduate Diploma in Law (GDL) provides non-law graduates with a route to becoming a practising lawyer.  Completion of the GDL, which is available in both full time and distance learning modes, allows entry to the Legal Practice Course (LPC) to train as a solicitor or the Bar Professional Training Course (BPTC) to train as a Barrister, both offered at Northumbria.

Distances learning postgraduate programmes offered by the Law School include our LLM Masters programmes, which cover a diverse range of subjects, such as Medical Law, Environmental Law and International Commercial Law. These offer both law and non-law graduates the opportunity to achieve a specialist practical legal qualification and are accredited for Continuing Professional Development by a number of professional bodies including the Law Society and the Bar Standards Board.
